What is Tadasana Life?

TADASANA Life is YOUR New Way of Being ... its where you Step Up into YOUR Life and Ground into the Moment. TADASANA Life is when you stand in the valley, look up at the peak and with every cell in your body shout a resounding “YES, I’m standing up and living this life today”. It’s that moment when your body lights up with electric energy like a ray of sunshine on your face and the knowing that things are about to change...and they just do!

The Mission

TADASANA Life aims to bring you the awareness of self-centering, grounding, and balance. To put it simply, every day is a new opportunity to begin life again. This unique platform of information is your footing to reconnect, refresh and live the life waiting for you at the top.

The Story

The TADASANA Life concept grew from my love for the yoga asana Tadasana aka Mountain Pose and a family trip to Jackson Hole, Wyoming in 2021where I witnessed breath-taking mountain tops. On our last night of the trip, we hiked up to this special spot know amongst locals to view one of the most magnificent sunsets I’ve ever seen. I’ve been on top of other mountains, but it was here where I truly felt something significant. It was clear, I had arrived...but to what? Having had many experiences that changed my life, this exact moment felt special. There was a knowing that everything I had been through up until this point has come together. Being up there with my 3 children ending the day and an amazing winter trip I was at the absolute top of my joy. On the cold long dark walk back to the car, I was feeling some type of way. Overwhelmed by the experience, I knew something was about to change to for me and the way I wanted to move forward in doing my life and sharing my passion.

Being a practitioner of yoga for many years before becoming a teacher I found that this uniquely simple, yet diversely intense pose was in every single asana I practiced and in everything I do. The only twist is it must be intentional. Teaching this pose, I guided my students at the beginning of every session that with intension you will also realize this gift built inside of you too. Then the Aha moment came on the way home that evening, I will teach Tadasana with every word I speak. I will educate in every situation the power of being present in your body with mountain pose as the tool. Throughout this site I will be building a platform based on this theory for all of us to grow as a community together. TADASANA Life is here for you.

Tadasana

What exactly is Tadasana defined?

Tadasana is Sanskrit for Mountain Pose, also known as Samasthiti. It is a standing asana in yoga that shows up in all yoga poses. Many see yoga as a form of exercise, but yoga is so much more than that. This is often discovered after some time of developing the practice. Tadasana may not look like much or feel like anything other than just simply standing on two feet...well, that’s not where it ends. Keeping the body active in breath-work and aligned while focusing the mind is deep hard work. The yoga pose Tadasana is more than just standing around. It requires you to be aware of every part of the body and how it’s aligned.

You may be tempted to rush this pose or even skip Tadasana all together since it seems too simple. However, it is a great way to check in with your body and set the foundation for proper alignment throughout your entire asana practice. Therefore, you should practice at least one attentive Tadasana at the beginning of your practice to set you on a great path. As you can now see, this one pose has the potential to set you up for a better experience.
